General Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with internal and external accounting requirements.
- Maintain and update financial records in accounting software
- Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and send invoices and follow up on overdue payments
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports
- Monitor cash flow and report discrepancies
- Maintain financial filing systems
- Support payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and accounting principles
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in bookkeeping (e.g., CPB – Certified Public Bookkeeper)
