Assistant Manager, Brand Communications

Purpose/ Mission

The Assistant Manager, Brand Communications, will drive the strategic execution of brand communication initiatives in the Philippines, enhancing adidas' brand presence and engagement across various channels. This role involves maximizing PR coverage, creating impactful content, and managing relationships with media, influencers, and internal stakeholders to elevate the local relevance of global campaigns.

Additionally, the role will support membership and digital activation, which includes membership engagement strategies to foster loyalty and deliver value to adidas members through exclusive experiences and targeted activations.

Key Responsibilities

• Brand Communications
  • Assist the Brand Communications Manager in planning and implementation of local activations for brand and product campaigns within the disciplines of PR, partner publishing and seeding, on-ground events, and content production
  • Lead the maintenance of the @adidasPH Social Media content calendar across all platforms, along with the support of an agency Community Manager
  • In partnership with the adidas SEA Marketplace team, lead the development and execution of always-on TikTok content, livestreams, and seasonal TikTok campaigns, coordinating closely with external agency partners to drive engagement and brand relevance.
  • Lead the always-on implementation and seasonal projects for adidas Runners Manila , supported by an agency counterpart and liaising with adidas Runners global counterparts
• Omnichannel Support
  • Assist the Omnichannel Manager in liaising with SEA Digital team for excellent execution of local assets on adidas digital touchpoints (.com and app)
  • Assist the Omnichannel Manager to support the timely and excellent execution of Membership activations in the Philippines, focusing on maximizing CLTV and repeat purchase, delivering value to our members and the retail and digital ecosystem.
  • Assist the Omnichannel Manager in executing on-strategy retail activations at the point of sale.
• Day-to-Day Marketing Operations
  • Ensure proper maintenance and replenishment of marketing and promo stock
  • Manage the relationship with relevant internal stakeholders and regional counterparts for approvals and reporting
  • Manage relationship with supporting agency network across Creative, Activation, Paid Media, and Public Relations
  • Along with the Brand Communications Manager, support accurate Finance reporting and forecasts

Key Relationships:

• Internal: Global and regional Brand Communications and Digital network, other local Brand Activation disciplines such as Sports Marketing and Omnichannel Activation, local Sales team, Finance.
• External: PR and creative agencies, media, influencers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent storytelling skills, adapted to a digital environment
• Very strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Digitally savvy and abreast of current social media trends and local influencer landscape
• An organic interest in sports, fashion, and culture
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office related programs
• English and Filipino (fluent, verbally and in writing)

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in Business Studies and/or (Marketing) Communications preferred
• At least 3 years working experience, preferably in (Brand) PR and/or social media in a consumer-focused industry with experience handling agency counterparts
• Experience in content creation and (PR) event management is beneficial
