- Financial Recordkeeping:
- Maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
- Tracking transactions, reconciling accounts, and managing payroll and expenses.
- Ensuring the accuracy and compliance of bookkeeping.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Preparing financial statements (e.g., income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements).
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Providing financial information and reports to management and stakeholders.
- Tax Compliance and Planning:
- Preparing and filing tax returns.
- Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Providing tax planning and advice.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of budgets.
- Creating financial forecasts and projections.
- Auditing and Compliance:
- Performing internal audits and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Working with external auditors.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Reconciling bank statements.
- Managing cash flow.
- Providing financial advice and recommendations.
- Implementing and maintaining accounting systems and processes.
- Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is often required.
