A Baker is responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods. This role involves following recipes, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings for various baked goods.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers.
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure product quality.
- Decorate cakes and pastries according to customer or business requirements.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to minimize waste.
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in baking or pastry arts is a plus.
- Proven experience as a baker or in a related role is preferred.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, tools, and ingredients.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift heavy ingredients.
- Attention to detail and creativity in presentation.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
