Position: AI Automation & Integration Specialist
Remote | Full-Time | Experienced
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on AI Automation & Integration Specialist to help
businesses implement, manage, and optimize AI-powered systems across their operations.
The ideal candidate will be able to assess a company’s existing processes, identify
opportunities for automation, recommend appropriate AI tools, and independently implement
solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and streamline operations.
This is not simply an AI research or prompt engineering role. We are looking for someone
with proven experience building and managing real-world AI solutions for businesses.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate business workflows and identify opportunities to implement AI and automation.
* Design, build, and maintain automated workflows across departments.
* Implement AI-powered phone agents for inbound and outbound calls, appointment
scheduling, customer support, and lead qualification.
* Integrate AI tools with existing CRM, ERP, accounting, communication, and management
platforms.
* Develop AI chatbots, virtual assistants, and internal knowledge assistants.
* Automate repetitive administrative, operational, sales, and customer service processes.
* Research, recommend, configure, and manage AI software based on business
requirements.
* Build integrations between different platforms using APIs, webhooks, and automation tools.
* Monitor and troubleshoot automated systems to ensure reliability and performance.
* Train employees on new AI systems and provide ongoing technical support.
* Maintain documentation, security controls, and human approval processes for sensitive
workflows.
* Continuously identify new opportunities to improve business operations through AI.

* Retell AI, Vapi, Bland AI, or similar
* Twilio or other telephony integrations
* Automated inbound/outbound calling systems
* AI customer service and appointment scheduling
Business Software Integrations
* HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel, or similar CRMs
* Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
* API integrations, webhooks, and data synchronization
* Experience integrating business management and accounting softwareTechnical Capabilities
* Python or JavaScript
* REST APIs and JSON
* AI prompt engineering
* Database integrations
* Debugging, monitoring, error handling, and workflow security
Qualifications
* 3+ years of relevant experience in business process automation, software integration, or
AI implementation.
* Proven experience deploying AI automation solutions for real businesses.
* Ability to independently take a project from initial requirements through implementation
and ongoing management.
* Strong understanding of business operations and workflow optimization.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to explain technical solutions to nontechnical business owners and managers.
* Experience managing multiple systems and prioritizing automation opportunities.
Preferred Experience
* Previous experience with an AI automation agency, consulting firm, or business systems
integration company.
* Experience building AI phone agents and integrating them with CRMs.
* Experience automating workflows for healthcare, real estate, finance, or professional
service businesses.
* Portfolio of successfully implemented AI automation projects.
Candidate Screening Requirements
Applicants should provide:
1. Examples of at least three AI automation systems they personally implemented.
2. A demonstration of an AI voice agent or an advanced multi-platform automation.
3. A description of the business problem each system solved.
4. Details of the tools, integrations, and platforms used.
5. An explanation of how they maintain and troubleshoot deployed automations.
