About the Client
Our client is a specialist roofing contractor focused on metal roofing and cladding, with a strong focus on Colorbond roofing systems. Approximately 90% of their projects are standalone roofing projects completed for builders.
About the Role
We are seeking a Roofing Estimator / Quantity Take-Off Specialist to support the estimating and quoting function. The role will initially focus on the behind-the-scenes preparation and quantity take-off work and helping to organise project documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Download, save, and organise construction plans and project documentation.
- Review and prepare plans for quantity take-offs and quoting.
- Complete accurate quantity take-offs from construction plans and drawings.
- Support the estimating and quoting process by preparing the required plans and project information.
- Assist with the day-to-day estimating workload.
- Take on additional estimating responsibilities as you become familiar with the business and its processes.
Requirements
- Previous roofing estimating and quantity take-off experience is preferred.
- Experience with metal roofing and cladding is highly advantageous.
- Confident in reading construction plans and completing accurate take-offs.
- Groundplan experience is highly preferred.
- Simpro experience is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Australian experience is advantageous, but relevant experience from the US, Canada, Philippines, or other markets will be considered.
