Responsibilities
Receiving and Checking Deliveries
- Receive incoming stocks and deliveries from suppliers
- Check items against delivery receipts or invoices
- Inspect products for damage, defects, or incorrect quantities
- Report discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor
- Arrange stocks in designated storage areas or shelves
- Label items properly for easy identification
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) method when storing goods
- Maintain cleanliness and order in stockroom or warehouse
Inventory Monitoring and Control
- Monitor stock levels regularly
- Assist in stock counting and inventory audits
- Update inventory records manually or using inventory systems
- Report low stock levels or overstocking issues
Replenishing and Displaying Items
- Restock shelves or display areas from the stockroom
- Ensure items are properly displayed and organized
- Replace missing price tags or labels
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked and presentable
Handling Stock Movements
- Move items safely using carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts (if trained)
- Transfer stocks between departments or locations
- Assist in loading and unloading of goods
Maintaining Cleanliness and Safety
- Keep storage areas clean and hazard-free
- Follow safety procedures and proper lifting techniques
- Ensure items are stored securely to prevent damage or accidents
Documentation and Reporting
- Record stock movements (incoming and outgoing)
- Prepare stock reports or inventory logs
