User Interface Designer

Enterprise Projects (EP) is a new and growing team within Arch’s Strategy and Innovation group that drives the future state design of strategically important underwriting and claims initiatives in line with Arch’s broader strategic imperatives. Our mission is to design modern user experiences to improve ease of doing business, productivity, and responsiveness to accelerate growth. To be successful, we need to help our underwriters and claim adjusters make better informed, faster decisions by designing experiences that incorporate innovative technologies, such as: AI-powered intelligent document processing, data enrichment via third-party sources, and analytics driven prioritization.

As a member of Arch’s Enterprise Projects team, the UI Designer will play a crucial role in supporting successful creation of Arch’s most strategically important user experiences. Working under EP leadership, this role will be responsible for the composition of high-impact wireframes and prototypes and will begin to scale Arch’s UI design system.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret business requirements for new and existing applications into low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes
• Create new and update existing Figma prototypes to showcase desired functionalities and user experiences
• Build out new, reusable design components and styles within Figma to drive consistency and scalability
• Scale and maintain the AUI design system component library and help establish guidelines outlining best practices
• Collaborate with front end development team, as required

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of UI design experience creating wireframes in low and high fidelity and functioning prototypes. Demonstrated in a portfolio or within case studies.
• Must have experience in Figma. Ideally has experience creating design components
• Previous experience working within an established design system and interest in building out/scaling Arch’s UI system
• Ability to understand design limitations presented by unqork platform
• Ability to work independently and think critically
• Strong communicator

Desired Skills:

• Prior experience in insurance or financial services industry
• Previous experience designing for unqork or similar front end
• Knowledge of/examples in portfolio of UI motion design

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
