We are seeking a reliable and motivated Helper to assist our electricians in performing various electrical tasks. As an Electrician Helper, you will provide support in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, while ensuring safety and adherence to local codes. This is an entry-level position with the opportunity to learn and grow within the electrical field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist electricians in installing and repairing electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, and lighting.
- Help with the preparation of materials and tools for electrical projects.
- Load, unload, and transport equipment and materials to job sites.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and keeping tools and supplies organized.
- Hold tools or materials and assist in measuring, cutting, or shaping electrical components as needed.
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues under the supervision of an electrician.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when working with electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and electricians to ensure smooth project progress.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support electricians and maintain workflow.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- No prior electrical experience is necessary, but any previous experience in construction or a similar field is beneficial.
Skills and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety practices (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from electricians and supervisors.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
- Ability to stay focused and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
