Job Requirements
- Associate Degree in Engineering, Computer-Aided Design or Similar Area
- 3-5 years of detailing experience using software such as AUTOCAD/REVIT
- Knowledge in/willing to learn FRAMECAD and COLD-FORMED STEEL (CFS) DESIGN METHODOLOGY
- Extensive experience collaborating with Civil/Structural Engineers and Architects
- Experience in site deployment
Responsibilities
- Develop precise shop drawings and fabrication models using AutoCAD, Revit, and FRAMECAD.
- Apply Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) methodologies to detail light-gauge steel framing components.
- Assist production teams by generating and verifying output files and cut lists directly from the design models.
- Coordinate with the manufacturing floor to resolve fabrication issues and streamline the assembly of steel framing.
- Convert architectural and engineering concepts into accurate, constructible design deliverables.
- Partner with Engineers and Architects to align detailing with structural calculations and design intent.
- Resolve design clashes and incorporate redlines to minimize field errors.
- Assist field crews during site deployment by clarifying drawing details and framing layouts.
- Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and resolve real-time technical issues.
