Strong Next.js skills are essential—you'll create powerful interfaces and integrate them seamlessly with backend APIs. Full-stack capabilities are a huge plus, but your Next.js expertise is what matters most.

What You'll Actually Build

Next.js applications that users love:

• Blazing-fast React frontends using the latest Next.js features—app router, server components, and optimized performance
• Complex state management for multi-step workflows and data-heavy interfaces
• Responsive designs that work flawlessly across all devices
• API routes and server-side logic within Next.js when needed

AI-powered user experiences:

• Real-time AI conversation interfaces with WebSocket connections
• Interactive voice interaction displays and agent workflow visualizations
• Smart data handling with proper caching strategies and error handling

API integrations that work:

• Consume RESTful APIs with proper authentication flows and state management
• Handle async operations, loading states, and error boundaries gracefully
• Ensure smooth data flow throughout the application

Full features, end-to-end:

• Own entire user-facing features from the UI through the API integration layer
• Work with backend teams (or handle backend yourself if you have the skills)
• Deploy features that real users depend on daily

Have the technical skills:

• 2+ years professional experience with Next.js/React in production
• Strong understanding of Next.js architecture and modern patterns
• Know how to work with APIs—fetching data, handling auth, managing async operations
• Write clean TypeScript/JavaScript and care about code quality
• Can handle complex state management and data flow in applications
• Understand full-stack concepts even if you're frontend-focused

Have the right mindset:

• Full-stack experience (backend APIs, databases)

Technical Skills We're Looking For

Must-haves:Next.js/Frontend (Core Skills):

• Next.js 14+ experience (app router, server components, API routes)
• Strong React fundamentals and modern patterns
• API integration skills (REST, authentication, error handling, loading states)
• State management (Context, Zustand, TanStack Query, or similar)
• TypeScript/JavaScript proficiency
• Responsive design and modern CSS (Tailwind preferred)
• Performance optimization and best practices

Nice-to-haves:Backend/Full-Stack:

• Nest.js framework experience (huge plus!)
• PostgreSQL or database basics
• RESTful API design and development
• Authentication flows (JWT, OAuth)
• Basic DevOps understanding

Additional Skills:

• Data fetching libraries (SWR, React Query, TanStack Query)
• WebSockets or real-time features
• Server-side rendering patterns
• Testing frameworks
