Test Engineer (Mid-Level) Location: Reliance IT Center, #99 E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, Ugong, Pasig City Employment Type: Full-Time Testing Focus: 70% Automation | 30% Manual Testing About the Role We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mid-Level Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both Automation and Manual Testing, with a strong focus on building and maintaining automated test solutions while ensuring the quality and reliability of software releases. You will collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality applications through effective test planning, execution, defect management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Test Design & Execution Design, develop, and execute test cases for functional, regression, integration, and system testing. Review and analyze user stories, business requirements, and technical specifications for testability and completeness. Develop comprehensive test plans and testing strategies. Execute manual and automated test scenarios to validate application quality. Automation Testing Build, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for frontend and backend systems. Improve test coverage through automation frameworks and reusable test components. Analyze test automation results and investigate test failures. Support regression testing activities to ensure application stability. Defect & Release Management Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution. Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and validate fixes. Participate in release planning activities and provide quality gate recommendations. Prepare and communicate test execution reports and release readiness assessments. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Product Management, and Business teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Promote quality engineering best practices and contribute to a strong QA culture. Share testing knowledge, lessons learned, and process improvements with the team. Professional Development Participate in regular team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions. Commit to continuous learning and technical upskilling. Stay updated with industry trends, testing methodologies, and automation tools. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Test Engineering Strong background in: Automation Testing Manual Testing Test Design and Execution Defect Management Regression Testing Integration Testing System Testing Experience with: Test Automation Frameworks Defect Tracking Tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM) Agile/Scrum methodologies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to frontend and backend automation testing Experience working with CI/CD environments Knowledge of API testing tools and methodologies Experience collaborating with DevOps teams Banking, Financial Services, or Enterprise Application experience is an advantage Why Join Us?
