Job Summary:
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall plant operations and total supply chain management. This role ensures efficient production processes, effective coordination among departments, and alignment of operational strategies with company goals. The Plant Manager will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of plant activities while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Operations Management
- Oversee end-to-end plant operations to ensure efficient production and supply chain flow.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve production targets, cost efficiency, and performance goals.
- Coordinate with key departments including Procurement, Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Logistics.
2. Supply Chain Management
- Manage demand planning, procurement, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics operations.
- Ensure smooth material flow from sourcing to finished product delivery
- Establish and maintain strong supplier partnerships and identify opportunities for procurement optimization and cost savings.
3. Production Planning & Optimization
- Work closely with the production team to align production schedules with customer demand and plant capacity.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as OEE, cycle time, and lead time to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations.
4. Safety, Health, Environment & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture and lead initiatives to maintain a safe and sustainable workplace.
5. People Management & Development
- Provide leadership and guidance to department heads including Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Logistics.
- Drive employee engagement, performance management, and leadership development programs.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
6. Financial Management
- Monitor plant financial performance including budget utilization, operational costs, and profitability.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining product quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in plant operations, manufacturing management, or supply chain leadership.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale operations.
- Knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory standards in manufacturing.
