Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary / Position Objectives:
A highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor with extensive experience in Accounting & Auditing of the day-to-day department operation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Accounting Operation
1.1 Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
1.2 Participate in regular tax audits and payroll.
1.3 Prepare budgeting reports and forecast revenues.
1.4 Manage month-end and year-end closing.
1.5 Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department.
1.6 Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records
1.7 Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives
1.8 Establish accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company's targets.
1.9 Prepares Budget Variance Report against the Actual volume of OCLI's Branch and allocated budget.
1.10 Creates Incident Reports Once Branch and Departments exceeds on their allocated budget.
1.11 Ensures compliance with the law.
2. REPORTS
2.1 Consolidates data for financial report preparation
2.2 Submits a precise, meticulous consolidated reports of accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and tax audits
2.3 Submits Budget Variance Report against Actual Expense monthly.
3. OTHERS
3.1 Approving financial processing.
3.2 Creates job description of employees.
3.3 Supervises staff accountants and clerical staff.
3.4 Mentoring employees
3.5 Any other tasks that may be assigned by the accounting manager.
4. RECORDS
4.1 Maintains and safeguards all documents within the area of responsibility.
4.2 Keeps organized filing system.
I. EDUCATION:
A graduate of BSA, CPA is an advantage.
II. EXPERIENCE
- With 8 years of accounting background with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
- 3-year experience in financial reporting
III. SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas)
Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations. Good communication skills
Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Advanced knowledge in use of accounting software. Team management skills
