Field Based Marketing Executive

DETAILS OF THE ROLE :

Job Purpose

The Field-Based Marketing Executive supports the Product Manager and cross-functional teams in launching and growing a new oncology tumor indication. The role focuses on understanding the healthcare environment, gathering field and customer insights, identifying patient journey gaps, engaging potential early adopters and prescribers, and executing business tactics that support access, adoption, and achievement of business objectives.

Major Accountabilities

• Develop strong tumor-specific insights by understanding the healthcare environment, hospital and government policies, patient segments, and potential healthcare professional customers.
• Identify pain points and unmet needs across the patient journey and work with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that improve patient experience and access to appropriate treatment.
• Partner with the Product Manager to identify business opportunities, develop business plans, and execute key tactics and innovative programs for a new tumor launch.
• Build deep product and disease-state knowledge and engage target prescribers with approved scientific and clinical information.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Medical, and other internal teams to deploy approved promotional and non-promotional activities aligned with customer needs.
• Develop and execute customer engagement and call plans, including omnichannel engagement approaches tailored to customer preferences.
• Continuously update customer insights, HCP segmentation, persona, and adoption levels to guide business decisions.
• Conduct all activities in line with company ethics and compliance, medical-legal, SOP requirements.

Key Performance Indicators

• Growth and market share performance for the assigned tumor type.
• Effective management of spend versus budget.
• Identification and resolution of patient journey gaps on a continuous basis.
• Timely implementation of planned promotional, non-promotional, and innovative activities.
• Achievement of target call plans and quality customer engagement.
• Improvement in adoption level of target KOLs and key prescribers, aligned with plan.
• Timely, accurate, and actionable field insights shared with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Science, or a related field; MBA is an advantage.
• Experience: 2–3 years of customer-facing, sales, marketing, or healthcare-related experience.  Prior Oncology, Hospital Acute Care or Specialty Products Experience preferred.
• Language: Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Skills: Strong understanding of patients, HCPs, market dynamics, and the healthcare system.
• Commercial capabilities: Communication, influencing, negotiation, customer focus, planning, organizing, and results orientation.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and engage internal and external stakeholders.
• Mindset: Positive, entrepreneurial, agile, and proactive, with a strong commitment to integrity and compliance.
