Video Editor (Performance Ads)

At AI Case Leads, we connect accident victims with personal injury law firms across the United States. Video ads are the engine of our growth on Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. We’re looking for a video editor who brings both craft and performance thinking: someone who makes ads look great and makes them convert.

We’re perfectionists about our edits. Every cut, caption, sound level, and animation matters. If “good enough” bothers you, you’ll fit in here.

The Role

You’ll edit a steady stream of short-form video ads, from UGC-style testimonials and talking-head videos to motion-graphic-driven concepts. You’ll work closely with our creative strategists and media buyers, turning scripts and briefs into polished ads, then using performance data to make the next version better.

This isn’t a “cut what we send you” role. We want an editor who understands why an ad works: how the hook grabs attention in the first two seconds, how pacing holds viewers, and how visuals reinforce the message.

What You’ll Do

• Edit short-form video ads (mostly 15–60 seconds) for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
• Build motion graphics, animated text, and visual effects in After Effects
• Edit UGC-style, testimonial, and talking-head content into high-converting ads
• Create multiple variations of winning ads: new hooks, formats, lengths, and aspect ratios
• Follow creative briefs precisely, including scripts, hooks, shot notes, and brand guidelines
• Write and style captions with perfect accuracy
• Mix audio, music, and sound effects to a professional standard
• Review ad performance data (hook rate, watch time, CTR) with the team and apply what you learn to future edits
• Stay current on trending formats, editing styles, and short-form content trends
• Organize project files and assets so anyone on the team can find them

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience
• Experience editing videos that ran as paid ads on Meta, TikTok, or YouTube
• 2+ years of motion graphics experience in After Effects
• Advanced skill in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• A portfolio of short-form ads or social content
• Obsessive attention to detail: no typos, no audio pops, no sloppy transitions
• Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, and storytelling in short-form video
• Ability to deliver quality work quickly and handle a steady weekly volume
• Ability to take feedback and execute revisions precisely
• Professional written English
• Reliable internet and a computer that handles 4K and After Effects work
• Experience with direct-response or performance ads (a plus)
• Experience in legal, insurance, healthcare, or finance ads (a plus)
• Sound design or color grading skills (a plus)
