Role Overview
- Ensures strict compliance with established biosecurity measures to maintain farm health and prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
- Conducts daily farm inspections to assess and monitor the overall health and condition of livestock.
- Identifies sick animals promptly and initiates appropriate medication and treatment to support their recovery.
- Examines animals for signs of illness or unusual behavior and evaluates their physical condition to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
- Tracks and evaluates mortality and morbidity rates across assigned departments, ensuring accurate documentation and collection of relevant health data.
- Supervises the implementation of vaccination programs in accordance with established farm protocols and schedules.
- Ensures proper implementation and consistent adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) throughout the Wean-to-Finish production process.
- Develops and manages work schedules for subordinates to ensure adequate staffing and efficient daily farm operations.
- Coordinates closely with the Farm Manager to discuss operational concerns, report significant findings, and recommend appropriate corrective actions within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management on a temporary or as-needed basis.
- Must be a graduate of Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field.
- Must have at least 7–8 years of experience in swine farm operations, including prior experience in a managerial or supervisory position.
- Must be willing to reside within the farm premises in Argao or Pinamungajan, Cebu.
- Must possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to effectively address operational challenges.
- Must have above-average written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear and effective coordination with management and farm personnel.
