✅ Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
- Shopify Experience – Comfortable navigating and managing day-to-day e-commerce operations inside Shopify.
- Strong Communication Skills – Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to engage customers warmly and professionally.
- Customer-Centric Mindset – Patient, empathetic, and solution-oriented—you genuinely want to help and it shows.
- Detail-Oriented & Organized – Able to manage multiple tasks and keep accurate records without things falling through the cracks.
- E-Commerce Background – Prior experience in D2C, consumer goods, or a similar fast-paced online retail environment.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Order Fulfillment Knowledge (Bonus)– Familiarity with pick/pack/ship workflows or replacement order processes is a plus.
- Upselling Experience (Bonus)– Comfortable identifying opportunities to recommend products and add value during customer interactions.
- CRM or Helpdesk Tools (Bonus)– Experience with tools like Gorgias, Zendesk, or similar customer support platforms.
Responsibilities of the Shopify Customer Service Representative:
Your responsibilities include:
- Order Management
- Process customer orders, refunds, and product exchanges accurately and efficiently
- Organize and maintain replacement product inventory to support a smooth pick/pack/ship process
- Monitor and update order statuses to ensure timely fulfillment and communication
- Customer Service & Issue Resolution
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback
- Provide prompt, courteous, and solution-focused responses across all customer touchpoints
- Manage and record the status of replacement requests and escalations
- Solve problems creatively to deliver the best possible customer experience every time
- Reporting & Trend Tracking
- Track recurring product issues and customer complaints to identify patterns
- Report trends and actionable insights to the team to improve products and processes
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and resolution outcomes
- Cross-Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, and product teams to address customer needs holistically
- Share feedback from customer interactions to help the organization improve its processes and communication
- Support upselling efforts by recommending relevant products that genuinely meet customer needs
- Administrative & Data Support
- Perform weekly data cleanup to ensure all records are current, organized, and accurate
- Handle additional responsibilities as assigned based on experience level and business growth
