About the role
Join Shoeciety Inc. (JOJO BRAGAIS Shoes), an innovative and fast-growing retail company, as an Accounting Associate. In this full-time position based in South Triangle, Quezon City, Metro Manila, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's financial operations and contributing to its continued success.
What you'll be doing
- Bookkeeping : Maintain the general ledger by recording daily financial transactions and managing journal entries.
- BIR Filing : Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (e.g., VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax) via EFPS or eBIRForms.
- Sales Audit : Verify daily sales reports against Point of Sale (POS) data, bank deposits, and third-party platform settlements.
- Reconciliation : Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Documentation : Ensure all financial documents and government permits are organized, updated, and compliant with local regulations.
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as needed.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably in the retail industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, Docs)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
