Executive Search Firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting a Chief Operating Officer (COO) role for an F&B company. The role will oversee day-to-day operations, corporate store performance, franchise support, supply chain, training, projects, and growth expansion to ensure sustainable and profitable scaling across the network.
The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and execution-driven leader with experience managing multi-unit retail, F&B, franchise, or consumer businesses at scale. Key Responsibilities: Operations Excellence- Lead and oversee all store operations across corporate-owned and franchise branches.
- Ensure operational standards, profitability, customer experience, and brand consistency.
- Drive improvements in sales, labor efficiency, food cost, beverage cost, and store productivity.
- Establish and monitor KPIs across all operational functions.
Growth & Expansion
- Lead new store expansion initiatives from site selection to store opening.
- Evaluate and secure high-potential locations aligned with company growth objectives.
- Develop market penetration strategies for existing and new territories.
- Ensure successful execution of all store rollouts within timeline and budget.
Franchise Operations
- Strengthen franchisee relationships and support systems.
- Improve franchise onboarding, training, compliance, and performance monitoring.
- Develop programs that increase franchisee profitability and satisfaction.
- Ensure franchise standards are maintained throughout the network.
Supply Chain & Procurement
- Oversee supply planning, inventory management, procurement, warehousing, and logistics.
- Ensure product availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Improve purchasing efficiencies and supplier negotiations.
- Build systems that support national-scale operations.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.
- Standardize SOPs, reporting structures, and accountability systems.
- Drive automation and technology adoption across the business.
- Build dashboards and management reporting frameworks.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop department heads across:
- Operations
- Growth Expansion
- Supply Chain
- Training
- QA
- Projects
- Franchise Relations
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and execution.
- Develop succession plans and leadership pipelines.
Financial Performance
- Drive store-level profitability and company-wide operational efficiency.
- Manage operational budgets and resource allocation.
- Improve EBITDA through productivity improvements and cost controls.
- Partner closely with Finance to strengthen forecasting and reporting.
Executive Leadership
- Act as strategic partner to the Founder & CEO.
- Participate in executive planning and long-term growth initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional execution of company priorities.
- Represent the company in key landlord, supplier, franchise, and strategic partner discussions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of leadership experience in operations and franchise management (must have experience in F&B companies)
- Proven track record in scaling businesses.
- Strong financial and operational acumen.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly analytical and data-driven.
