US Senior Auditor (Hybrid / Night shift)

Employment Type: Full-time Work Setup: Hybrid set-up (Philippines-based, Ortigas Pasig City) Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience About the RoleAccountant Offshore Inc. is hiring multiple US Senior Auditors for a US CPA firm client.
This long-term, hybrid role is ideal for experienced external auditors with strong US audit exposure. You will lead audit engagements, ensure compliance with US auditing standards, coordinate with US-based teams, and mentor junior auditors.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, lead, and complete external audit engagements for US-based clients
Assess internal controls and evaluate the accuracy of financial statements
Identify audit risks, recommend corrective actions, and communicate findings to senior stakeholders
Perform audit procedures in accordance with US GAAP, US GAAS, and applicable professional standards
Handle Uniform Guidance, employee benefit plan/401(k), and not-for-profit audits, where applicable
Review audit workpapers and ensure accurate, complete, and high-quality deliverables
Mentor, coach, and review the work of junior audit team members
Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure timely engagement completion
Stay current with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and audit best practices
Support continuous improvements in audit methodologies, processes, and tools
At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in external auditing; candidates with 8+ years are also encouraged to apply
Strong experience handling audit engagements for US-based clients
Solid knowledge of US GAAP; exposure to IFRS is an advantage
CPA license or equivalent professional certification required
Experience with a large accounting firm or multinational organization is preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Proficiency in audit software, cloud-based platforms, and data analytics tools
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a hybrid work environment
