About the role
Watermatic Philippines Corporation is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This position is based in Mandaue City, Cebu , and offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to our mechanical engineering projects and initiatives. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems and components that support our operations and business objectives. What you'll be doing
- Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and equipment in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Perform detailed calculations and analyses to ensure mechanical designs meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
- Create and maintain technical drawings, blueprints, and documentation using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with other engineering disciplines
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide technical solutions to operational challenges.
- Perform quality inspections and testing of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation for stakeholder review.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations throughout the design and implementation process.
- Support project timelines by meeting design deadlines and delivering quality engineering solutions.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, with experience in 2D and 3D modelling.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations relevant to mechanical engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to approach complex technical challenges systematically.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence or equivalent certification (preferred).
- Previous experience in water systems, hydraulics, or related industries (preferred).
