Accounting Operations Analyst II

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an Accounting Operations Analyst II to manage cash accounting processes, including daily receipts, disbursements, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. The role supports the Cash Management team in a multinational environment, requiring strong accounting fundamentals and ERP system proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Record daily cash receipts, disbursements, and bank transactions in accounting system
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and cash account reconciliation
- Investigate and resolve unreconciled items and cash discrepancies
- Prepare journal entries related to cash transactions and support period-end closing activities
- Coordinate with Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable teams on cash-related matters
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 1 year accounting experience in cash or general ledger accounting
- Knowledge of GAAP or IFRS accounting principles
- ERP system experience such as Oracle or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
