The Air Conditioning Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. This includes preventative maintenance, diagnosing malfunctions, performing repairs, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all HVAC equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installation: Install new air conditioning and refrigeration systems according to blueprints and specifications. This may include connecting refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, and other components.
- Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating components. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. This includes identifying faulty components, replacing parts, and restoring systems to proper operation.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot problems with air conditioning and refrigeration systems using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures when working with refrigerants, electrical systems, and other potentially hazardous equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Strong knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including various types of equipment.
* Ability to diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC systems.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills.
