Business Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst who can analyze existing applications, understand system behavior, document functional requirements, and support end-to-end testing activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, stakeholders, developers, and users to translate existing system functionality into clear System Requirements Specifications (SRS) and comprehensive test scenarios. The role will also be responsible for System Integration Testing (SIT), defect analysis, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support .

Key Responsibilities

System Analysis & Requirements Documentation

• Analyze existing system functionality, workflows, code, and technical documentation to understand current system behavior.
• Identify and document business rules, functional requirements, system processes, and dependencies.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive System Requirements Specifications (SRS) .
• Conduct requirement workshops and clarification sessions with clients and stakeholders.
• Validate documented requirements with relevant stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for system improvement.

Test Planning & System Integration Testing

• Develop comprehensive test suites, test scenarios, and test cases based on the documented requirements.
• Execute System Integration Testing (SIT) to validate end-to-end system functionality and integrations.
• Compare actual system behavior against expected results defined in the SRS.
• Document SIT results, test evidence, and identified issues.
• Log, track, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Analyze defects and work closely with developers to identify root causes and appropriate resolutions.
• Perform regression testing to ensure that fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality.

User Acceptance Testing Support

• Support business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) .
• Explain system functionality, business rules, and test scenarios to users.
• Assist users in executing UAT scenarios and documenting results.
• Investigate and clarify issues raised during UAT.
• Coordinate with developers and stakeholders to resolve UAT defects.
• Ensure identified issues are properly tracked through resolution and closure.

Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration

• Act as a bridge between clients, business users, and development teams.
• Present system behavior, requirements, findings, and recommendations in a clear and structured manner.
• Facilitate discussions to resolve requirement gaps and ambiguities.
• Work collaboratively with developers to ensure requirements are properly understood and implemented.
• Provide recommendations to improve system functionality, usability, and overall quality.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or a related role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in requirements gathering and documentation .
• Hands-on experience creating System Requirements Specifications (SRS) .
• Experience developing test suites, test scenarios, and test cases .
• Experience performing System Integration Testing (SIT) .
• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) .
• Strong defect investigation and issue-resolution skills.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of Java is an advantage, particularly for analyzing application logic and troubleshooting system behavior.
• Ability to understand existing application workflows and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with software testing and defect management processes.
• General understanding of application development and system integration concepts.

Java development experience is not required; the ability to understand and analyze existing system logic is the primary requirement.
