Business Analyst – Key Responsibilities
1.Requirements Gathering & Documentation
- Lead and facilitate requirements gathering workshops with business stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Products, Sales, and Actuarial teams.
- Translate complex business needs into clear and actionable functional requirements and user stories.
- Document business processes, workflows, and system requirements using JIRA and other project management tools.
- Create and maintain Business Requirements Specification (BRS) documents.
- Maintain and update RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) and Q&A logs during workshop sessions.
2. Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Serve as the primary liaison between Maxilife business teams and technical/configuration teams.
- Clarify requirement ambiguities by engaging with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and sponsors.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely responses to queries aligned with sprint planning.
3. Testing & Quality Assurance Support
- Assist in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure requirements align with test cases from unit testing through system testing.
- Validate that configured solutions meet documented business requirements.
- Participate in defect triage and evaluate change requests with configuration leads.
Job Requirements
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of insurance business processes, including:
- New business
- Underwriting
- Policy issuance
- Billing and premium collection
- Policy servicing
- Claims
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (JIRA) and documentation standards.
- Experience creating user stories, use cases, process flows, data models, and functional specifications.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based delivery models.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Highly detail-oriented with a focus on delivering quality documentation.
- Self-motivated team player who can work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Insurance solutions (OIPA, OHI, or other Oracle Insurance applications).
- Knowledge of Philippine insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Financials or other enterprise ERP systems.
