The Physician Retainer is responsible for providing medical consultation, assessment, treatment, and management of patients with animal bite exposures in accordance with Department of Health (DOH) guidelines and established clinic protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions to vaccines and medications.
- Provide patient counseling regarding rabies prevention, vaccination schedules, and follow-up care.
- Review and sign medical records, treatment plans, and other required clinical documents.
- Collaborate with nurses and clinic staff to ensure efficient patient care and clinic operations.
- Assist in handling medical emergencies that may arise within the clinic.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
