Cost Accountant

Key responsibilities of an Internal Auditor are as follows:

1. Cost Accounting & Inventory Audit

§ Conduct regular audits of raw materials, spare parts, and finished goods (requalified/maintained LPG cylinders).

§ Audit and verify the accuracy of the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) by analyzing direct materials, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead.

§ Identify variances between standard costs and actual costs in the requalification process and investigate root causes.

§ Provide accurate cost data and analytics to management.

2. Operational & Logistics Efficiency Tracking

§ Audit fuel consumption to detect inefficiencies, fuel siphoning, or unauthorized truck usage.

3. Labor & Payroll Audit

§ Audit timekeeping records, verifying the exact number of hours rendered by plant and logistics employees against production output.

4. Data Analytics & Reporting

§ Perform financial and operational analytics.

5. Government & Regulatory Compliance

§ Audit operational processes to ensure statutory compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting and auditing.
• Strong background in:
• Product and Standard Costing
• Manufacturing Cost Analysis
• Inventory Management and Valuation
• Variance Analysis
• Internal Audit and Compliance
• Experience in LPG cylinder manufacturing, metal fabrication, or similar industries is highly preferred.
