9 Tide Limited is a New Zealand-registered content studio producing short-form video for social media. We're a small, growing team building long-term working relationships with creative people in the Philippines.
About the role
We're looking for a full-time video editor to join our team remotely and edit short-form content for our Instagram and TikTok accounts. This is a long-term role.
This is a full-time independent contractor role, paid monthly via Wise / bank transfer.
What you'll edit
Short-form videos (Reels / TikTok) - lifestyle, travel, fashion and swimwear content.
Responsibilities
Work as our in-house editor - keep the content pipeline moving as new footage comes in
Turn raw clips into original, engaging 15-60 second vertical videos - you'll have creative freedom to decide the concept, structure and style
Add trending audio, captions/subtitles, transitions and hooks
Keep up with what's trending and bring your own ideas
Requirements
You genuinely love editing - we know editing can be repetitive, so we're looking for someone who truly enjoys the craft and finds joy in the process
Confident with CapCut or other editing software
Strong instinct for what performs well on Reels/TikTok - hooks, pacing, trends
Good written English (for captions and subtitles)
Reliable internet and your own computer
Portfolio of short-form work (Reels/TikTok links)
Some overlap with New Zealand business hours (Philippine morning) for check-ins
You'll sign a confidentiality agreement (NDA) before starting
Nice to have
Experience with AI content tools (AI video, image generation, etc.) - a bonus, not required
Experience editing fashion, travel or lifestyle content
Basic colour grading
What we offer
PHP 20,000-30,000/month

We visit the Philippines regularly - occasional in-person meetings and team events

Long-term role with raises as we grow
Room to grow: more projects are coming, and if you have the drive and talent for it, you'll have the chance to lead our future editing team
