JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Developer is responsible for the technical leadership,architecture design, and delivery oversight of backend systems. This role ensuresscalable, secure, and high-performance server-side solutions while mentoring backendengineers and enforcing engineering standards across projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of backend systems and APIsusing Node.js and related technologies.
- Define and enforce backend architecture standards, coding practices, anddesign patterns.
- Translate business and product requirements into robust technical solutionsand system designs.
- Own backend system performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Conduct and lead code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices andtechnical excellence.
- Mentor and coach backend developers, providing technical guidance andcareer development support.
- Oversee testing strategies, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with front-end, DevOps, data, and product teams to ensureseamless system integration.
- Drive microservices architecture design and evolution.
- Support deployment strategies and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
- Coordinate with external consultants and partners on system architecture anddelivery.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years backenddevelopment experience, with at least 1 yearin a technical leadership role.
- Expert proficiency in server-side development.
- Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Advanced RESTful API and system integration design.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Solid grasp of security, performance optimization, and scalability concepts.
- Microservices and distributed systems architecture.
- DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Technical leadership and decision-making skills.
