The Dentist is responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of oral diseases. The role requires strong clinical skills, patient-focused care, and adherence to ethical and professional standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and oral tissues to diagnose dental conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to patient needs
- Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and minor oral surgeries
- Provide preventive care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and patient education
- Interpret dental X-rays and diagnostic tests
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records
- Ensure proper infection control and sterilization procedures
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and dental health
- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and clinic staff
- Comply with clinic policies, safety standards, and government regulations
Qualifications and Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)
- Valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license (Philippines)
- Proven clinical experience is an advantage (fresh board passers are welcome, if applicable)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and patient-focused
