About the job:

The Biomedical Service Engineers-Manager oversees the biomedical engineering department within hospitals, healthcare institutions, or medical device organizations. The role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that medical equipment and healthcare technologies operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. Biomedical Engineer Managers lead teams of engineers and technicians, manage budgets, coordinate with vendors, and support clinical departments. They also play a key role in technology planning, equipment lifecycle management, and quality assurance. Strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and strategic planning skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage team of Biomedical engineers
• Provide services for equipment installation, repairs, and maintenance
• Monitor Preventative Maintenance and field modifications
• Conduct product demonstration/ presentation
• Oversee budget considerations related.
• Coordinates training programs for staff to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance schedules and service histories.
• Provide technical assistance to staff and clients’ end users
• Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up
• Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated
• Installs new equipment by establishing, adjusting, calibrating, and testing performance.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, conducting tests and troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions
• Spearhead and ensure proper checking of medical equipment during arrival from Principals/ Manufacturers and upon deployment to customer site either for demo or delivery purposes
• Prepares and submit biomedical reports and other reportorial requirements by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Maintains safe and healthy working environment by conducting safety tests, recommending, and complying with procedures, training, and guiding medical and healthcare personnel and complying with regulatory codes
• And other tasks that may be assigned.

Key Skills Requirement:

• Knowledge on various medical equipment/machines (Imaging Products- Xray, CT Scan, Mamo, Patient Monitor, etc)
• Able to prioritize and follow through tasks

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Biomedical/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics and Communications)
• Professional License is an advantage
• At least 5 years of working experience in a Managerial role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Driven, Passionate, Customer-Focused and Goal/Result-Oriented
• Must be willing to travel and do field work
