Responsibilities:
Budget Planning & Monitoring
- Prepare annual and departmental budgets.
- Track actual expenses against budget allocations.
- Identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
Expense Authorization & Approval
- Ensure all purchases and expenditures are properly approved.
- Implement clear approval limits based on job hierarchy.
Procurement & Inventory Management
- Source cost-effective suppliers without compromising quality.
- Monitor stock levels to avoid over-purchasing or shortages.
- Conduct regular audits of supplies and materials.
Operational Efficiency
- Streamline processes to reduce waste (energy, water, materials).
- Implement preventive maintenance to avoid costly repairs.
- Optimize staff scheduling to balance service quality and labor costs.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of expenses, invoices, and receipts.
- Submit regular cost reports to management for review.
- Ensure compliance with financial and labor regulations.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Enforce policies to prevent fraud, misuse, or unauthorized spending.
- Align practices with local labor laws, tax rules, and audit standards.
- Train staff on cost-conscious practices.
