About the role
This is a Solar Service Technician role focused on maintaining, repairing, and installing solar PV systems. You will perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance, interact with customers professionally, and contribute to the technical development and training of the team.
Key responsibilities
Perform varying corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance for solar PV systems
Perform onsite installations, repairs, and troubleshooting
Interact with customers on a professional level as part of a multi-tasking team
Check and provide complete documentation to clients
Carry out site root analysis
Apply root cause analysis techniques on all major and recurring faults
Investigate technical failures and prepare formal technical reports
Record keeping and management of spare part movements
Provide technical training and technical guidance to customers
Attend conferences and B2B meetings to assess new solar PV system technologies
About you
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Solar Service Technician
Proven experience as a Solar Technician or in a related field
Professional fluency in English for written and verbal communication
Strong understanding of solar energy systems, electrical systems, and safety protocols
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required
Relevant certifications or licenses preferred (e.g., NABCEP Solar PV Installer Certification)
