Associate Lawyer

Role Description

The Associate Lawyer will be responsible for handling assigned cases and legal matters, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents, and preparing case strategies under the guidance of senior lawyers. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and analyzing legal issues, attending client meetings, participating in negotiations, and representing clients before courts and administrative agencies as needed. The role involves coordinating with colleagues and support staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of legal services, while maintaining detailed case files and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Metro Manila, requiring regular office presence and in-person client and court engagements.

Qualifications

• Active member of the Philippine Bar with a Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws degree from an accredited law school
• Strong legal research and writing skills, including the ability to draft clear, accurate, and well-reasoned legal documents
• Knowledge of Philippine laws, rules of court, and key regulatory frameworks relevant to litigation and corporate practice
• Effective communication and client management skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear, professional manner
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and sound judgment in evaluating legal risks
• Professional integrity, commitment to ethical practice, and willingness to learn from senior practitioners
• Proficiency with standard office productivity tools and legal research platforms; familiarity with document management systems is an advantage
• Prior experience in litigation, corporate, or commercial law is preferred but not required for highly motivated early-career candidates
