As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for managing the community management function supporting Absolute Digital Media’s Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) services.

This is a hands-on role focused on building and maintaining authentic, high-credibility Reddit and Quora profiles across multiple industries. You will be responsible for identifying relevant communities and conversations, creating valuable and natural engagement, and executing strategic campaigns designed to improve client visibility across AI search engines and large language models.

You will work closely with the SEO and Outreach teams to support broader digital marketing and GEO strategies. The role requires strong written English, a deep understanding of Reddit and Quora culture, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple accounts while maintaining authenticity, credibility and compliance with platform guidelines.

Experience working with regulated industries such as iGaming, finance, legal or healthcare is advantageous but not essential.

What will you do?

• Build and maintain authentic Reddit accounts and Quora profiles across multiple industries and client campaigns.
  
• Grow Reddit karma and Quora followers through genuine, value-driven community engagement.
  
• Maintain strong account health, credibility and activity while ensuring compliance with Reddit and Quora community guidelines.
  
• Develop a strong understanding of different subreddit cultures, Quora communities and audience expectations.
  
• Monitor account activity and identify potential risks relating to moderation, account health or platform policies.
  
• Research relevant Reddit communities, subreddits, Quora spaces, discussions and questions to identify high-value opportunities for client visibility.
  
• Identify conversations where client brands, products or services can be naturally and appropriately referenced.
  
• Create high-quality Reddit posts, comments and Quora answers that provide genuine value to users.
  
• Adapt writing style, tone and messaging according to the culture and expectations of each online community.
  
• Ensure all content feels authentic and avoids spam, excessive promotion or behaviour that could negatively affect account credibility.
  
• Execute strategic Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) campaigns designed to improve client visibility across AI-generated search results.
  
• Identify opportunities where Reddit and Quora content can contribute to brand visibility within AI search engines and large language models.
  
• Create and place relevant client mentions, recommendations and answers in high-visibility discussions where appropriate.
  
• Stay up to date with developments in AI search, LLMs and generative search experiences.
  
• Monitor changes in how AI search engines discover, reference and cite information from online communities.
  
• Apply emerging GEO best practices to improve campaign effectiveness and client visibility.
  
• Monitor Reddit and Quora account performance and maintain accurate records of activity.
  
• Track campaign activity, placements and engagement across relevant communities.
  
• Report campaign outcomes and placement performance to the wider delivery team.
  
• Maintain detailed documentation of accounts, communities, content placements and campaign activity.
  
• Identify opportunities to improve campaign performance based on engagement and visibility data.
  
• Collaborate closely with the SEO and Outreach teams to align community management campaigns with broader digital marketing and SEO strategies.
  
• Support the wider team with insights into Reddit, Quora, community behaviour and emerging platform trends.
  
• Share knowledge and best practices relating to community engagement and GEO.
  
• Support the development of new GEO strategies and approaches as AI search continues to evolve.
  

Requirements

What You Bring

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on commercial experience with Reddit and Quora, either within an agency or in-house environment.
  
• Demonstrable experience growing Reddit accounts to healthy karma levels through genuine engagement and without spam tactics or account penalties.
  
• Proven experience building and managing credible Quora profiles with genuine community engagement.
  
• Excellent written English, with the ability to write naturally and adapt tone and messaging to different audiences and online communities.
  
• Strong understanding of Reddit culture, subreddit rules and moderation practices.
  
• Strong understanding of what distinguishes authentic community engagement from promotional or spam content.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to recognise differences in community expectations across platforms.
  
• Ability to manage multiple Reddit and Quora accounts simultaneously while maintaining account health and content quality.
  
• Highly organised, with strong documentation, tracking and reporting skills.
  
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple campaigns and priorities.
  
• Strong interest in AI search, Generative Engine Optimisation, SEO, digital marketing and online communities.
  
• Previous experience in SEO, digital PR, outreach, content marketing or community management is advantageous.
  
• Experience working with regulated industries such as iGaming, finance, legal or healthcare is beneficial but not essential.
  
• Good understanding of AI search engines, LLMs and how online community content can influence generative search visibility is advantageous.
