Door Project Manager (Remote)

We are seeking an **experienced Door Project Manager** with deep, hands-on knowledge of the **door and hardware industry** to manage house-account projects from initial quote through completion. This is not a general construction project management role — we need a professional who understands how doors, frames, hardware, machining, and specifications interact in real-world applications.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Manage the full project lifecycle for door and hardware packages (quote to completion).
* Review customer and designer specifications for accuracy and compatibility.
* Identify errors, incompatibilities, or impractical configurations before production.
* Source products from appropriate suppliers and manufacturers.
* Coordinate with internal teams, customers, designers, and vendors.
* Handle high-volume quoting, order processing, and project tracking.
* Serve as a technical advisor, recommending alternatives and clarifying incomplete specifications.
**Must-Have Qualifications:**
* Deep, hands-on experience in the **door industry**.
* Strong knowledge of **commercial and residential doors** and related hardware.
* Practical understanding of **door specifications, construction, and hardware compatibility** (hinges, closers, locks, frames, machining).
* Experience with **door quoting and order processing**.
* Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and confidently with customers, designers, manufacturers, and suppliers.
**Good-to-Haves:**
* Experience with **custom or specialty doors**.
* Familiarity with **architectural specifications** and CAD/technical drawings.
* Knowledge of door machining requirements and hardware manufacturers.
