SAFETY ENGINEER / PROJECT SAFETY OFFICER

QUALIFICATIONS
• Graduate of Engineering or a related Technical course
• Preferably with relevant DOLE-accredited OSH Training and Certificate
• Knowledgeable in handling and monitoring project safety requirements, permits, and documentation
• Familiar with Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Risk Assessment, Safety Permits, Toolbox Meetings , and other client/site safety requirements
• Knowledgeable in applicable occupational safety and health standards and regulations
• Capable of conducting site visits, safety inspections, and safety monitoring
• Able to identify hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions
• Willing to conduct site visits and travel to different project locations
• Experience in construction, industrial, or project-based safety management is an advantage
• Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills
• Proactive, responsible, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor project activities and ensure compliance with company, client, and applicable government safety standards .
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
• Prepare, review, and maintain JHA, Risk Assessments, Safety Permits, and other safety documentation .
• Conduct and/or assist in Toolbox Meetings, safety orientations, and safety briefings .
• Monitor the proper implementation of safety policies, procedures, and control measures at project sites.
• Coordinate with project personnel, contractors, and clients regarding site safety requirements .
• Document and report safety concerns, incidents, near misses, and non-compliance.
• Recommend and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions .
• Maintain complete and updated project safety records and reports .
• Assist in ensuring that required PPE, safety equipment, and site controls are properly implemented.
• Perform other safety-related duties as assigned by the immediate superior.
