Job Summary:

 The Site Surveyor is responsible for providing accurate and reliable surveying support for construction projects. The role ensures precise measurement, layout, and verification of works in accordance with engineering standards, local regulations, and project specifications. The Project Surveyor coordinates closely with site engineers, QA/QC teams, subcontractors, and consultants to maintain high-quality and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

 Survey Operations

• Conduct site surveys to collect field data and measurements.
• Process, analyze, and verify survey data; prepare detailed survey reports, as-built drawings, and quantity computations.
• Coordinate with CAD operators or produce survey-related CAD drawings when needed.
• Use specialized equipment and software to analyze survey data and create detailed maps and plots.
• Perform site layout for gridlines, elevations, alignments, and structural elements based on approved drawings.
• Validate and monitor construction works to ensure compliance with tolerances and design specifications.

Team & People Management

• Lead and supervise junior surveyors and survey assistants to ensure smooth and efficient field operations.
• Provide mentoring, technical guidance, and on-site training to improve team capability and discipline.
• Ability to delegate tasks, monitor performance, and maintain productivity.

Coordination & Communication

• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, QA/QC teams, and subcontractors.
• Participate in site coordination meetings, discussing survey progress, issues, and solutions.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies between design and on-site conditions through technical evaluation.

Equipment & Safety

• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and safe handling of all surveying instruments.
• Comply with safety practices, Philippine OH&S regulations, and the project’s Zero Accident Program.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in  Geodetic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geomatics , or related field.
• Professional licensure or certification (e.g., RICS, PLS, Licensed Surveyor) is an advantage.

Work Experience

• 5–7 years relevant experience in construction surveying.
• Experience working with Japanese contractors or in Japanese-managed projects is a strong advantage.
• Proven track record in leading survey teams and managing people on site.
• Strong experience with structural layout, site development surveys, and high-precision construction monitoring.

People & Leadership Skills

• Good communication skills for coordinating with Filipino and Japanese staff.
• High level of discipline, organization, and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work under pressure and extended hours as required by site conditions.

Other Requirements

• Willing and able to perform fieldwork in various weather and site conditions.
• Willing to be assigned to different project locations in the Philippines.
• Willing to work extended hours or shifting schedules when required.
