Finance Assistant

The Finance Assistant provides essential support to the finance department by assisting with various financial tasks and administrative duties. They ensure accurate financial record-keeping and help maintain financial stability within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and financial transactions.
• Prepare and process invoices for payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets.
• Assist in monitoring and managing company expenses.
• Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with expense policies.
• Provide support in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Collect and organize financial data for budget analysis.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, document organization, and correspondence related to finance.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to gather financial information or resolve issues.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred but not always required.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.
• Basic knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience in a similar finance or accounting role may be advantageous.
