Performance Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Performance Marketing Specialist (Google & Meta Ads) to support a growing freelance digital marketing agency in the professional services industry.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience managing paid advertising campaigns, with strong expertise in Google Ads and Meta Ads.

This is a hand-on role requiring someone who can independently plan, launch, optimize, and scale paid advertising campaigns while also creating compelling ad copy and coordinating or developing creative assets. As the agency grows, the role will expand to include email marketing support, making adaptability and willing ness to learn essential. The ideal candidate is proactive, strategic, creative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced remote environment while handling occasional virtual assistant tasks.

Work schedule

• This is a part-time position starting at approximately 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Aligned with U.S. Eastern Time (ET)
• With opportunity to transition to a full-time (40 hours per week) role as the business grows.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns, including keyword research, ad creation, bid management, and performance tracking.
• Support Meta Ads campaign management by assisting with audience targeting, campaign optimization, and creative strategies.
• Develop campaign strategies based on client goals, target audience, and performance data, providing recommendations to improve results.
• Write persuasive, high-converting ad copy for Google and Meta campaigns.
• Create or coordinate the development of ad creatives using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring assets align with campaign objectives and brand guidelines.
• Leverage AI tools and data insights to improve ad targeting, campaign performance, and overall marketing effectiveness.
• Perform general virtual assistant tasks, including managing Google Docs, calendars, and email inboxes related to client projects.
• Utilize the Go High Level CRM platform to support client automation, messaging, and AI chatbot implementations.
• Assist with email marketing campaigns, including campaign setup, audience segmentation, scheduling, content updates, and performance reporting as the agency expands its services.
• Collaborate with the agency owner to brainstorm ideas, troubleshoot campaign challenges, and develop effective marketing strategies.
• Prepare campaign performance reports and communicate results clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in regular team meetings and maintain organized documentation of tasks and project updates.
• Cross-train on additional marketing and CRM workflows to support business continuity and team flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns, with a strong understanding of paid search strategies and optimization techniques.
• Experience managing Meta (Facebook) Ads campaigns is highly preferred.
• Proven experience creating original ad copy and developing or directing digital ad creatives for paid campaigns.
• Strong understanding of paid media strategy, including audience targeting, campaign planning, testing methodologies, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with—or willingness to learn—the Go High Level CRM platform, including automation workflows and chatbot functionality.
• Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, or similar) is a plus. Candidates without direct experience should demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn quickly.
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and comfortable using virtual collaboration tools.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team.
• Previous experience supporting professional services firms or marketing agencies is preferred.
• Adaptable and eager to learn new tools, technologies, and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
