Medical Clerical Specialist

The Medical Clerical provides administrative and clerical support for healthcare processes within a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) environment. This role involves handling patient records, insurance documentation, data entry, and coordination with healthcare providers while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform data entry and validation of patient information, medical records, and billing details

· Process insurance claims, referrals, and authorizations

· Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) systems

· Handle medical documentation such as discharge summaries, lab reports, and prescriptions

· Verify patient eligibility and insurance coverage

· Assist in billing and coding support (non-clinical)

· Respond to internal and external inquiries via email or phone

· Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA or local equivalents)

· Organize and maintain digital and physical records

· Support audit and quality checks to ensure accuracy of information

Qualifications:

· College grad. or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

· Experience in BPO, healthcare account, or clerical/administrative work is an advantage

· Basic understanding of healthcare processes (claims, billing, records management)

· Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word)

· Good typing speed and high attention to detail

· Strong communication and organizational skills
