Job Summary:
The Accounting Associate is responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks to support the company’s financial operations. This position ensures that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely, assists in preparing reports, and helps maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions, including journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other reports.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records.
- Monitor and process company expenses, reimbursements, and petty cash.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
- Assist in payroll processing and statutory remittances (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
- Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding billing and payment issues.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and government regulations.
- Perform other related accounting duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
