Pump Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Pump Attendant to join our team at a busy gas station. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the gas pumps, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

* Greet customers promptly and courteously.

* Assist customers with fuel purchases, including filling vehicles and checking tire pressure.

* Answer customer questions and provide information about products and services.

* Resolve customer concerns and complaints professionally.

* Maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor.

Fuel Dispensing:

* Operate gas pumps safely and efficiently.

* Ensure accurate fuel dispensing and prevent spills.

* Monitor fuel levels and alert management when necessary.

* Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

Cash Handling:

* Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions.

* Balance cash drawers at the end of each shift.

* Follow all cash handling procedures to prevent theft and fraud.

Maintenance:

* Keep the gas station premises clean and organized.

* Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed.

* Inspect and report any equipment malfunctions.

Inventory:

* Assist with inventory control of fuel and other products.

* Monitor stock levels and inform management of any shortages.

* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

* Experience: Previous experience as a Pump Attendant or in a customer service role preferred.

Skills:

* Excellent customer service and communication skills.

* Basic math and cash handling skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

* Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.

Other:

* Valid driver's license preferred.

* Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

* Reliable and punctual.
