Sr. Contracts Specialist

Senior Contracts Specialist role at Thermo Fisher Scientific focused on negotiating and managing complex agreements across government and commercial sectors. The position requires cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Quality teams to drive business growth while ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate federal contracts, master service agreements, and commercial arrangements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Quality on contract execution
- Develop negotiation strategies and assess contract risks to protect company interests
- Serve as subject matter advisor on contracting matters and build stakeholder relationships
- Manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously while ensuring policy compliance
Requirements
- Advanced degree plus 6 years contract negotiation experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 8 years experience
- In-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR) and government contracting
- Experience with Federal Supply Schedules, GSA contracts, and ECAT contracts
- Professional certifications such as CPCM preferred
- Strong contract law, risk management, and negotiation expertise
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and contract management systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-value projects and RFP processes
