Lead Accountant (US Accounting)

This role is remote and open to only to the Philippines working in EST, CST or PST

We're looking for a Lead Accountant (US Accounting) who will own the daily and monthly financial processes that keep this company organized, and build the structure behind them. We've grown quickly, we're bootstrapped, and finance is scaling to match. If you want real ownership, move fast, and raise the bar every week, keep reading. This is not a maintenance role. Everything here is being built or rebuilt.

What you'll own

• Month end close

• Daily cash position reported to leadership.

• 13 week cash forecast.

• Expense review, spend commitments, and the payment list.

• AR and collections.

• Monthly management reporting package and variance review.

• Approval matrix and payment SOPs.

• MRR, ARR, and retention reporting.

• AI workflows and automations across the function.

• The tax and filing compliance calendar.

• Monthly payroll and headcount review.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of accounting experience working directly for US based companies.

• You've built workflow or automation with AI to handle a part of your job

• Working knowledge of US GAAP you can back up with real decisions you've made. (A CPA license is a bonus)

• You've converted books from cash to accrual, or cleaned up books that weren't GAAP compliant

• You've owned month end close end to end

• You've built a cash forecast from scratch, not just maintained someone else's.

• Strong working proficiency in QuickBooks.

• You translate finance into plain language for people who don't work in finance.

• You've rolled out a process to people outside your team and gotten them to use it.

• You know what to delegate and what to you own hands on

• Able to work EST or PST hours.

• Nice to have: SaaS revenue experience, Ramp, Bill.com , Deel, or Stripe.

Location: Remote, Philippines
Compensation: $18 - $25 USD per hour
Benefits: 15 days PTO. Christmas Day and New Year's Day paid off.
