Our Internal Audit Group is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Davao as an Audit Section Head – Retail Banking Audit . In this role, you will support the Department Head in driving the execution of the Bank's audit strategy, ensuring effective risk-based audit coverage across retail banking operations, governance processes, regulatory compliance requirements, and control environments. You will lead audit engagements, oversee audit teams, and help strengthen the Bank's overall risk management and control framework.

What the role will entail

• Lead audit teams in the execution of regular audits, spot audits, special reviews, fraud investigations, and continuous audit activities within the Retail Banking Audit Division.
• Support the Department Head in developing and implementing the annual risk-based audit plan, ensuring adequate coverage of business processes, governance, compliance, and operational risks.
• Review audit findings, working papers, and reports to ensure quality, completeness, and adherence to internal audit standards and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate significant audit issues and collaborate with stakeholders to develop practical recommendations that strengthen controls and mitigate risks.
• Partner with business and support units, senior management, regulators, and external auditors to promote a strong risk and control culture across the organization.
• Mentor, coach, and develop audit professionals while fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CFE, or equivalent are highly advantageous.
• At least 5 years of internal audit experience, bank operations experience, or a combination of both, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of auditing procedures and techniques, accounting principles and standards, risk management, governance, and internal controls.
• Familiarity with banking products, policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, information technology, information security, and fraud/forensic investigations.
• Excellent analytical, report writing, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with experience supervising audit staff and managing multiple audit engagements simultaneously.
• Strong sense of professionalism, integrity, objectivity, confidentiality, and commitment to ethical standards.
