Notmod (Not Modern) places experienced remote professionals with U.S. law firms and professional firms. We use modern tools, but we work the old-fashioned way: fair pay, honest communication, long-term relationships, and real human connection.

Every Nodder starts with two weeks of paid training, at a training rate, at a California law firm, working with U.S. attorneys and staff in a real practice. After training, Nodders are placed long term with U.S. firms that are Notmod clients. You will work directly with U.S. attorneys and staff on live client matters, on U.S. business hours, from your own professional home office.

The Role

You will keep the firm technology environment secure, available, and supportable.

• Administer Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, including accounts and access control
• Enforce multifactor authentication, device standards, and least-privilege access
• Verify backups and test restores on a set schedule
• Support VPN, remote access, and endpoint configuration
• Provide help desk support to firm staff on U.S. business hours
• Support security awareness training and incident response documentation

Minimum Requirements — All Positions

These requirements are not negotiable. Applications that do not meet every one of them will not be considered.

• Five or more years of experience working for a U.S.-based law firm
• Three or more years working U.S. business hours
• Fluent English, spoken and written
• A professional, private, quiet home office
• A primary internet connection plus a separate backup internet connection
• A backup power source capable of covering a full shift
• A laptop less than five years old

Preferred

• Microsoft 365 administration and Intune or comparable MDM
• Experience with law firm confidentiality and data security requirements
• Security certifications

Compensation and Engagement

PHP ₱312 to ₱1,248 per hour, set by role, prior experience, and scope of responsibility. Independent contractor engagement with Not Modern, long-term, paid every two weeks with annual raises, beginning with the paid two-week training placement (paid at a training rate) and working U.S. Pacific business hours.
