Metal Fabrication Specialist

Qualifications - Approximately 10 years of professional experience in metal fabrication, welding, machining, or related manufacturing work.
- Technical/vocational certification in Welding, Metal Fabrication, Machining, or a related field is preferred.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field is an advantage but not required if substantial relevant experience is demonstrated.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
- Proficient in various welding and metal fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of different metals, materials, tools, and fabrication processes.
- Experience in industrial machinery, equipment fabrication, or manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Strong measurement, fitting, alignment, and quality inspection skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Willingness to work on-site and support fabrication and machine assembly activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform metal fabrication, cutting, bending, drilling, grinding, welding, and assembly activities.
- Fabricate machine frames, brackets, covers, fixtures, supports, and other metal components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and fabrication specifications.
- Select appropriate materials, tools, equipment, and fabrication methods based on project requirements.
- Perform MIG, TIG, ARC, or other applicable welding processes.
- Conduct fitting, alignment, measurement, and dimensional inspection of fabricated components.
- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, machinery, and hand tools safely and properly.
- Modify and repair existing machine components and structures as required.
- Coordinate with engineers and production personnel regarding fabrication requirements and design modifications.
- Identify fabrication issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Ensure fabricated components meet required dimensions, tolerances, quality standards, and specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area.
- Follow company safety policies and applicable workplace safety requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced fabrication personnel when necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
