All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home. Who The Client Is: The client is a boutique bookkeeping firm working directly with Australian businesses: companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders. Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced accountant to join the client’s team on a contractor basis. You'll work closely with their bookkeeping team to prepare financial reports and tax returns for their client base. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare business financial reports and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and - sole traders - Review individual tax returns for accuracy and compliance - Liaise with our bookkeepers to review BAS-prepared financials before proceeding to tax - compliance - Ensure all work meets Australian tax law and ATO requirements - Flag discrepancies or issues with the director in a timely manner Requirements - Minimum 2-3 years experience in Australian tax compliance and financial reporting - CPA qualified (or equivalent) with strong knowledge of Australian tax law - Solid experience with Xero - Familiar with the compliance requirements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders - Strong written English and clear communication skills - Self-directed and able to manage workload independently Work Arrangement & Expectations: This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
